Surrounded by about 1000 olive trees stretching across the surrounding plateau, Villa La Splendida Antica - the ancient splendour - offers an incomparable view of southern Lake Garda, the bay of Salò and the church of the picturesque village of Gaino.
You are enthroned in style above the Limonenriviera at an altitude of about 300 m and feel as if you are by the sea due to the expanse and play of colours of the lake. The villa is part of a listed estate, built by the famous architect Giancarlo Moroni, who also designed the "Vittoriale degli Italiani", the residence of the poet and writer Gabriele DAnnunzio, just a few kilometres away. The villa has been extensively renovated. It is situated in a private park of 5,000 sqm of private land, about 30 m from the only other villa on the estate.
Great care has been taken to ensure the utmost privacy of the two villas, whose private gardens are on opposite sides. On the lake side is a panoramic pool.
Be enchanted by the sparkling lake light and the white sails of the elegant boats on the lake, which you can watch from the villa, from your arcaded garden and your garden Jacuzzi with outdoor shower. Sun loungers, dining table and barbecue invite you to spend the mild southern exposure on the high plateau above Veneto and Lombardy outdoors almost all year round.

Villa La Splendida Antica retains the charm of the 1920s through its elaborate renovation.

The overflowing symbolist splendour of the d'Annunzio villa is contrasted here with a soothingly simple elegance of the interior, which clearly allows more lightness, light and sea air to sweep through the building and the soul of the viewer, and quite rightly relies on the effect and perfect interplay of landscape and well-thought-out arcade architecture.
The historic furniture has been restored as far as possible. At the same time, comfortable bathrooms in original historical design and a modern, well-equipped kitchen have been installed.

You occupy the ground floor and upper floor facing the arcade garden, the rear part of the property is unused. They have a large living and dining room, a piano invites you to play in the living room, a large kitchen, another separate dining room, four double bedrooms, each with its own bathroom with shower or bath.

The rooms have stone and parquet floors.

You enter the villa from the parking area via the external staircase and your private arcaded garden and enter the entrance hall with pool table. A central hallway leads south/gardenside to your dining room and large well-equipped kitchen, which in turn provides access via archway to the large salone, also accessible from the hallway. The salon with its fireplace couch set and dining table opens via an archway to your furnished lake view balcony.There is a guest WC on this level.

The staircase leads to the upper floor with a partially covered arcade on the lake side, which can be accessed separately from the two lakeside double bedrooms. The third and fourth double rooms, each with en suite bathroom, are on the south and garden side respectively, also with lake view.

A panoramic pool as well as a terrace jacuzzi for six people invite you to enjoy the magnificent view in refreshing water. The pool is open depending on the weather and can be heated from Easter to the end of October or on request.
Ideal for culture lovers looking for proximity to the important cultural and historical towns of Veneto and Lombardy, and at the same time a private location rich in nature. Just a few kilometres away is Gardone Riviera, with d'Annunzio's famous "Vittoriale degli Italiani". The open-air theatre, located in the garden of the villa, offers a rich programme in summer. The same goes for the beautiful town of Salò. The arcaded architecture of your holiday villa makes you want to visit the famous nearby Palladio villas of the Veneto. Picturesque towns such as Sirmione and Mantova are just as easy to reach as culturally and historically impressive cities such as Verona, Brescia, Milan and Bergamo, to name but a few. A trip to Venice by train is also a good idea. In May you should not miss the historic car race Mille Miglia, in September the Centomiglia of sailing enthusiasts. Sports and nature lovers also get their money's worth: not far away is the golf course of Bogliaco and the sailing club of Gargnano. The surrounding forests are ideal for walks and picnic hikes. Challenging mountain and climbing routes can also be found in the near vicinity. Sporty guests can choose between paragliding over the lake or kite surfing on the lake.

Small children require increased supervision in the garden due to unsecured wall ledges.
For non-swimming toddlers, increased attention is required at both pools.
There are private parking spaces with roofing for your vehicles.
