Sorico, Lago di Mezzola, Pian di Spagna & Valtellina Tal

Sorico & Boschetto
Sorico is a former fishing village with several restaurants. The village is located on the Boschetto headland, with Colico to the east and Gera Lario/Sorico to the west. The region is considered a green, sun-kissed oasis away from the hustle and bustle and is part of the Pian di Spagna nature reserve.
There are two delicious restaurants/pizzerias near the beaches of Boschetto.
Mezzola See
Lake Mezzola is part of Lombardy’s largest nature reserve and covers an area of approximately 4 km². It is located north of Lake Como and is not suitable for swimming. However, the lake is ideal for small boat trips, as boats with up to 20 hp (no licence required) are permitted.

Pian di Spagna
Pia di Spagna is a 1,600-hectare plain in Lombardy. It is becoming an increasingly popular holiday destination for tourists. Apart from its picturesque landscape, Pia di Spagna offers wonderful opportunities for hiking and cycling. The plain is part of the Lago di Mezzola Nature Park.

There are also beautiful walking and cycling paths right along the shore. Above the village are small hamlets that are ideal for mountain hikes and mountain bike tours.
The village can be reached via a beautiful, quiet road along the riverbank.
Novate Mezzola on Lake Mezzola
Novate Mezzola is a small, tranquil village on the northern shore of Lake Mezzola, about 5 km north of Lake Como. The two lakes are connected by the River Mera. The steep rock faces with waterfalls on the outskirts of the village provide a breathtaking backdrop. The village is an ideal starting point for wonderful hiking tours in the Val Codera and Valle di Ratti valleys.
