For sailing, we recommend the northernmost end around Colico and the upper part of the western shore with Gera Lario, Domaso, Gravedonna, and Pianello del Lario. Here you will also find most of the sailing schools on Lake Como and the best water sports spots.

Sailing courses and sailing schools on Lake Como

You can take courses at the many water sports and sailing schools on Lake Como. The instructors mostly speak German and English. In the sailing schools on Lake Como you can rent equipment and boats or take part in courses in English and German. The sailing schools usually offer courses for beginners and advanced sailors from April to October.

Bring your own boat

If you would like to bring your own sailing boat, we will be happy to help you find a suitable and safe berth. You can also often rent a place in the harbour for the duration of your holiday on Lake Como.

For a pitch, the meadow of the Sporting Club Domaso is also recommended. Here you can rent a pitch for sailing boats, dinghies, catamarans, jet skis and more for the duration of your holiday. In addition, you are well catered for here for a full day on and off the water, with a large sun terrace, toilets, showers.

Regattas

For some years now, sailing and catamaran regattas, organised by the Circolo Vela Canoteri Domaso sailing association, have been taking place more frequently, especially in spring.
