As colourful as life: Italy's weekly markets

The markets and weekly fairs on Lake Como are always worth a visit. Small and large weekly markets & fashion on Lake Como are held in almost all towns and villages, which serve to cover the daily needs of the inhabitants. But fashionable items are also often found here and serve as nice souvenirs for tourists. The mix of fresh fruit and vegetables and other food, clothes, leather goods and knick-knacks is very interesting and entertaining. The markets in Italy are always a social event as well: people travel from the countryside to shop at the market, meet acquaintances and friends and go to the bar for an espresso. Just go there and let yourself drift a little! Due to the often cramped road conditions, it is advisable to travel by boat or train, as finding a parking space by car is not much fun.
