The Sabbio mountain oasis was designed by the owner Massimo Tarca himself. He is an architect who attaches great importance to natural materials and environmentally friendly technology.
This is reflected in the interior design of the house. High-quality wood and natural materials have been lovingly used here and invite you to enjoy rustic, cozy living.
This cozy atmosphere is enhanced by the smell of wood as soon as you enter the vacation apartments. The underfloor heating ensures constant warmth even in the cooler months of the year.
The names of the individual apartments reflect the surroundings; the apartments at the top are named after the mountains, the ones at the bottom after the lakes.
The Cima Motta apartment is located on the second floor of the house and has an open-plan living area with fitted kitchen, a bathroom with shower and window, as well as a gallery where the comfortable double bed is located. There is a sofa bed in the open-plan living room.
In the basement, the fantastic spa area with pool, two saunas and a relaxation room invites you to relax.

In summer, this area offers guests various hiking and trekking tours, as well as mountain bike tours.
Sabbionaccio is located in a small valley, 1,420 metres above sea level, surrounded by mountains and mountain villages, above the larger town of Chiesa Valmalenco, in the province of Sondrio, in Lombardy. It is a magnet for all mountain lovers in both summer and winter.
The mountain village is located about 23 km from Sondrio, close to the two torrents Torrente Entovasco and Torrente Mallero.
The mountain oasis of Sabbio is the ideal starting point for hikes of all kinds.
From easy to difficult, the region offers various destinations for all sports enthusiasts: the hike to Lake Palù, located at 1,921 metres, the more challenging tour to the Cristina refuge, via the Campo Moro and Campagneda lakes with an altitude difference of 480 metres, and the difficult hike to the Fellaria glacier and the Campo Moro dams with an altitude difference of approximately 700 metres.
Of course, culinary delights are also provided: for example, the Sasso Nero restaurant awaits you on the way to Lago Palù. Here you can sample local specialities such as cheese and cold cuts from the region, the typical Valtellina dish pizzoccheri and local wines.
The Centro Sportivo Isola is ideally located: here you can book various activities directly on site. In summer, mountain bikes are available for hire and tours are offered, as well as Nordic walking courses and horse riding excursions.
In winter, you can hire ski equipment and try out the various cross-country skiing trails. Courses are offered for beginners. The Cima Motta ski area for skiing and snowboarding is about 7 km away.

There is a train connection from Sondrio to Lecco (from Colico along Lake Como) and to Tirano, which lies at 1087 meters above sea level.
One of the oldest churches in Sondrio, the collegiate church of Santi Gervasio e Protasio, which was mentioned in the 12th century, is impressive.
The Valtellina was originally Catholic, but the first Protestant churches were built in the 15th century. Over time, the Catholic faith began to be reformed, which resulted in many Protestant deaths. Only a few Protestant priests managed to escape to Graubünden.
Morbegno is another town worth visiting, located on the train line to Colico and just 25 km from Sondrio.
Here you will find small stores and restaurants as well as historic wine cellars in the winding streets of the old town, which are well worth a visit.
There are also historic churches to visit as well as the Palazzo Malacrida, which is located in the upper part of the town. Rich in rococo architecture and with an impressive ballroom on the second floor, this palazzo also has many frescoes adorning its walls.
