It is strongest in the summer months when the mountain slopes warm up quickly and literally suck in the air of Lake Como. Then the BREVA forms ideal conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing, especially in the summer months from midday onwards. The places in the north of Lake Como from Dongo are good starting points for this, e.g. Domaso, Gravedona, Gera Lario, La Punta and Colico.   <\/p><p>The southern wind BREVA has its counterpart in the northern thermal fall wind TIVANO. It develops when there is a large difference in air pressure between the northern and southern sides of the Alps. The TIVANO blows early in the morning and is often stronger than the BREVA, strongest in the Lecco region.
